Happy Anniversary Andrew Vincent!

Happy Anniversary to Drew Vincent as today marks his 5 year anniversary with JB Hunt!  Drew is an Area Risk Manager in the Central Region who lives in Northeast Ohio.  He began his career with JB Hunt as an Operations Supervisor at the Soft Lite account.  In May of 2014, Drew took on the challenge of starting up Central Farm and Garden in Wooster, OH as the Account Manager where he has done a spectacular job leading to his promotion to ARM.

Drew is a proud graduate of Murray State University.  In his spare time, he enjoys following Cleveland area sports and hopes the Cleveland Browns can win at least one Super Bowl in his life time!

Reds Outing

This week, our Cincinnati based managers took in the Reds vs Cardinals game on Tuesday night.  While the Reds lost 4 -2, it was still a great time by all that attended!

Happy Anniversary Anthony Hale!

Congratulations to Anthony Hale on his 3 year anniversary with JB Hunt.  Anthony is our Account Manager at Chep Hamilton, OH where he manages (10) professional drivers.

 

Anthony began his JB Hunt career in July of 2015 as an Operations Supervisor at Home Depot in Monroe, OH and is a proud graduate of Wright State University.  In his free time, Anthony loves to hunt, fish and spend time with his wife and children. 

Central Region Manager of the Quarter - Kyle Fugger

Congratulations to Kyle Fugger for being selected as the Central Region Manager of the Quarter for Q2.  A graduate of Bowling Green State University, Kyle has been with JB Hunt since October of last year.  Kyle is local to Columbus and has been supporting the Goodyear Account in Lockbourne since his hire date.  In his short tenure with JB Hunt, Kyle has shown as selfless attitude, and has done any and all things asked of him.  Though he was relatively new with the company, Kyle assisted in keeping his account afloat between management transitions.  Kyle has shown a great work ethic and a willingness to be a team player for the betterment of the company.  As a token of appreciation, Kyle was given an award plaque and a $100 visa gift card.  Fantastic job Kyle on this well deserving award!

 

 

 

 



Happy Annivesary Doug King!

 

Doug King is celebrating his 2 year anniversary with JB Hunt!  Doug is an Operations Supervisor for both our Chep Columbus and Lima locations.  Doug enjoys spending his spare time with his wife, 2^nd grade son and 2 year old daughter.  He’s also thrilled that Chipotle recently added a location only 5 minutes from his work site.  He has been a frequent lunch visitor to the point where they now know him by name : )

Central Region Promotion Announcement - Ben Miller

Congratulations to Benjamin Miller on his promotion to Operations Supervisor! Ben is relocating to Columbus, OH and joining our L Brands team.  Ben came to us in March of this year as a Dedicated Manager in Training in the Cincinnati market. Since his arrival he has caught on quick and supported multiple accounts including Champion Windows, Cornerstone, Home Depot, Chep and L Brands. 

Ben is a proud graduate of the University of Cincinnati where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management.  In his free time, Ben enjoys watching Cincinnati Sports, playing sports himself and being outdoors. Once again, congrats on the promotion Ben!

Welcome Patrick Brockson!

 

Please join us in welcoming Patrick Brockson to the DCS Central Region.  Patrick is joining JB Hunt as a Dedicated Manager in Training based in Columbus, OH. Prior to coming to JBH, he worked as a Transportation Specialist for Amazon based out of Etna Ohio.  

 

In addition to his experience at Amazon, he spent nine years in the United States Army as a Cannon Crewmember as well as an Infantryman. Upon leaving the service, he attended Franklin University graduating with a Bachelor's of Science in Operations and Supply Management. He’s currently working on completing his Masters of Science in Business Psychology.

 

In his spare time, Patrick enjoys spending time with his wife Susanne and daughter Emily (preferably outdoors)!  He also enjoy cooking and reading when the time allows. We are thrilled to have you Patrick and welcome to our team!



Central Region Promotion Annoucement - Markese McGuire

 

Congratulations to Markese McGuire on his promotion from Operations Supervisor to Logistics Coordinator at the Kimball International account. 

Markese’s career with J.B. Hunt started as a Dedicated Manager in Training at Family Dollar Ashley. After a short 3 months at Family Dollar he was selected to be part of the Kimball International start up roster where he promoted to the Operations Supervisor level in September of 2017. Markese would continue to make great strides in his capabilities and impress the Drivers, customer, and his peers with his calm and collected attitude.

As the Logistics Coordinator of the Kimball account Markese will be directly responsible for utilization of 51 trucks as well as ensuring that the operations metrics are met. In just his short time in this role Markese has already made considerable improvements on the performance of the fleet and raised the bar.

Markese is a graduate of University of Illinois- Chicago and Central State University where he received a B.S. in Business Management & Finance.

Central Region Driver of the Month for June 2018 - Tom Arthur

Congratulations to Tom Arthur for being chosen Driver of the Month for the Central Region for June.  Tom began his career with JB Hunt back in May of 2012 and currently works on the Cargill Account in Park City, KY.  Tom has proven not only reliable, but flexible and more importantly safe during his 6 year tenure.  Tom was selected out of 1,100 drivers within the Central Region.  Congratulations Tom!

Tom embodies what it means to “ Drive Like A Champion” he is courteous, professional, safe, and continues to provide top notch customer service with a smile. He is truly dedicated to the job and goes above and beyond to forge relationships with the Cargill feed mill employees, fellow drivers, farmers, and JB Hunt management. Tom is one of our driver trainers and has trained drivers on both our bulk feed and tub & block accounts over the past few years. He has assisted at several other accounts within the Cargill network as well as other DCS accounts such as Tyson Robards & Corydon were he has even offered support to their 3rd shift delivery fleet, along with contributing last minute critical support to Hagan & Stone in Tompkinsville, KY. Recently Tom has assisted the Louisville Final Mile DC delivering loads for Whirlpool appliances. Managers across the region give their  praise on Toms performance. I’ve lost count all of the times that Tom has bailed me out over the last few months. It doesn’t matter what kind of freight I need assistance with, Tom is always happy to assist my account. When Tom is running freight for me there isn’t any stress that goes along with the load as I know Tom is going to deliver it safely and on time. He is more than deserving to earn the title of Driver of the Month.” The favorable acknowledgments for Tom are endless and his nomination for driver of the month is hard earned. Promotion Announcement - Lane Whited

Congratulations to Lane Whited on being promoted to Account Manager!  Lane has been with JB Hunt since May of 2017 where he started in Cleveland OH as a DMIT.  From there, Lane was promoted to Operations Supervisor for the Limited in August 2017.  Lane has been a jack of all trades on the account, mastering both 1st and 2nd shift and has been a huge factor in the success on the account in 2018.

 

In his new role, Lane will assume AM responsibilities over both Limited Reynoldsburg OH and East Brunswick NJ fleets.  Congratulations Lane!
