Vehicle Day in Springboro, OH

Last Friday Dan Mays (Account Manager), Drew Roberts (Logistics Coordinator), and Drake Garcia (Operations Supervisor) went to Dennis Elementary in Springboro, OH for their Touch a Truck Day. Our professional driver, Ryan Crego (CRER1) brought his day cab for over 400 students in grades 2-5 at the event. During the event, each class took turns looking at the equipment and asking questions about transportation. We did have some competition at the event as other vehicles in attendance were fire trucks, dump trucks, a backhoe, cement mixer, and Bat Mobile. Upon arriving we thought that the kids would be most interested in the others but quickly realized that ours was the favorite thanks to us allowing students to sit in the cab and test the air horn. The teachers and JBH personnel finally regained hearing later that night but all mentioned how much they loved the event!

A special thanks to Brian Marcum from The Home Depot RDC in Monroe, OH for approaching us for the opportunity to participate!

Central Region April 2018 Driver of the Month - Don Bush

Congratulations to Don Bush for being chosen April Driver of the Month for the Central Region.  Don is a current driver on the PPG Ohio Regional Fleet.  Don is an 11 year employee and a military veteran.  Congratulations Don!

Below is the write-up from PPG Management:

Don has been on the Ohio Regional fleet since its start up over 3 years ago and has been leading the fleet in miles since. He is a driver that will go out of his way to help us get the job done without asking. He is continually checking tires, and equipment for violations. He is consistently working with customers to get their equipment moved. One example is MPW in Cleveland, ohio. He will call ahead and check with CJ to see if she needs anything moved to preload for other drivers. This is beneficial to the customer and other drivers on the fleet.
Don is also a leader in safety. He continues to send in great safety messages daily to management about a relevant topic. He went the whole month Critical event free and this includes multiple trips through Chicago during the day, Cleveland and Pittsburgh PA. Don is what we want all the drivers to strive to be with safety and operationally on the board. He leads by example.
