Happy Anniversary Connie Fruchey!!

As many of you know, today marked Connie Fruchey's 14th year with JBH. Connie started in the Truck division as she was the terminal manager at the Nitro, WV terminal. After her short stay in the Mountaineer state she moved out to Ephrata, VA to begin her adventure in DCS in the Northeast region. After multiple stops running accounts including C&S in Northeast, MD she was relocated to the Central Region in a Client Manager role for Home Depot. At the first opportunity to get back into operations Connie jumped and has been running the C&S account in Yorktown, IN with overwhelmingly successful results. Connie's dedication, knowledge, and the wanting to succeed is what makes her the great manager that she is. Thank you Connie for all that you do for us and for your 14 years of service!!!

LenCo Lumber Visit

This time of year our building material accounts see volume increase.  This is definitely the case at LenCo Lumber.  Here, we employ (4) Professional Drivers and our Account Manager Mark Passantino.  Our drivers are responsible for loading up their own trucks every morning and making deliveries throughout the city and Western NY.  This business is family owned and operated.  Steve Coppola Sr and his son Steve Jr run the day to day operations.  If you ever want to complain about your office, don't complain to Mark.  Mark sits inside the Hardware Store for LenCo so he can be close to their sales staff.

Above, one of our Flatbed Straight Trucks gets ready to go out on a delivery.  Below, Mark takes his morning safety call amongst the chaos of the store!

Congrats to Jeff Holle on 20 Years with JB Hunt!

Congratulations to Jeff Holle for achieving 20 years of service with JB Hunt!  Jeff began his career with JB Hunt back in May of 1994 as one of our professional drivers.  From there, Jeff worked out of the corporate office as a dispatcher for the Truck Group.  While Jeff enjoyed operations, his real passion was in Safety.  In the mid 2000s, Jeff left the comfy confines of the corporate office and ventured out into the real world.  Jeff became the ARM for the New York/Vermont portion of the Central Region.  After serving there he was moved back to Southern IN to assist with KY and IN.  Jeff has been a valuable member of this region and company over the last 20 years.  We look forward to another 20 out of Jeff!

Congratulations to Pat Rielly for Winning April DOM!

Congratulations to Pat Rielly for winning the Central Region Driver of the Month for April!  Pat currently serves the Family Dollar Account in Rome, NY.  Below is the writeup from Account Manager Ryan Amuso:

"Last week marked Pat Rielly’s two year anniversary. He deserves to be Driver of the Month for multiple reasons. Pat does whatever is asked of him, and most importantly he does it safely. Two weeks ago Pat volunteered to delivery a Sunday run when we were behind even though that was outside his normal schedule. He laid over from Friday into Saturday one week, even though he had plans with his family. He has also cross-trained at Cargill to deliver bulk feed when needed, and did the same at PrimeSource with a flatbed.

Pat has supported multiple accounts throughout the region, and has made a tremendous impact in the short time that he has been with JB Hunt. He always goes about his business in a professional manner. He has received multiple compliments from store employees, managers, and office staff at Family Dollar. He’s well known in the region due to his hard work and dedication to the business."

Quaker Fun at Tully's Expense

You know you have formed a relationship and made a customer feel comfortable when they can openly mock you in public.  Scott Tully has done an excellent job of this with our client at Quaker in Indianapolis, IN.  Scott goes out of his way to make himself at home whenever he visits this customer.  Recently, they gave Scott exclusive use of his own office at the facility.  Good work Scott.
