Home Depot - Van Buren 3rd Quarter Training

Home Depot Van Buren got off to a great start with Third Quarter Training.  As of 18:00 on July 14 they had 59.82% of their fleet completed.  78.57% complete with the Following Distance Exercise and 65.18% complete with the classroom portion.  The managers are having great conversations with the drivers as they are going through the exercise in the yard.

Here we have Fleet Manager Brandon Oreglia coming back toward the driver, Bob Kopin after walking out and placing the cones where the driver in the truck notified him by honking the horn where Bob thought one and two seconds of following distance would be when he was travelling at 60 miles per hour.

After he walked out and placed the cones where the driver honked the horn, Brandon got in the car and drove to the actual one and two second following distance marks.

Before and after the demonstration there was good conversation on previous headway events and what the driver had been doing to continually improve as a professional driver.
