Home Depot - CSA Maintenance/Safety Blitz

On March 1st & 2nd, The Home Depot DCS account sponsored a CSA Maintenance/Safety Blitz on the yard.

Jim McGill

The objective was to identify any issues that could be found during a typical roadside DOT inspection including lights, tires, air leaks, permits and driver credentials.  Of course, watchful eyes were also looking for a clean dash, 3rd party GPS devices and Bluetooth contraband.  Over the 2 days we completed 70 inspections and hit every JB Hunt truck we could exiting the property.

Jeremy Stout General Manager Transportation and Kaleb Holder
This was a great team effort as local managers took shifts starting at 5am then throughout the day on the inspection lane and braved the rain on Monday, then bitter cold air Tuesday morning.

Lena Howard - Logistics Coordinator
The event provided good interaction between managers and drivers and was a  learning experience for some of the newer members of the staff.  Bag lunches were provided to show appreciation to those on the road.  The event was supported by Area Risk Manager, Tracy Walker, Regional Operations Manager Scott Tully and Area Maintenance Manager Cort Duggins.
