Over the
last few Months the Account Management of the MasterBrand Cabinets Account have
actively volunteered and participated in a variety of different CVD
opportunities. These include but are not limited to going on a Sales trip to
Baltimore, leading the charge on a trailer audit, and branding the MasterBrand
Corporate office with our logo. It has been these actions that have helped set
us apart from our competition.
In July, our
customer Jason Green, Anthony Warchol OM, and Garek Dunham AM flew to
Baltimore, MD where JB Hunt assisted the local sales group in closing the deal
with People Supplies. They had refused to purchase cabinets through MasterBrand
due to the terrible customer service provided by Werner. It was through the
improved performance that the team was able to show this customer that the
service was up to their standard. As a result the local MasterBrand Sales Team
was able to capture an additional five-hundred thousand dollars in sales. After
the visits were concluded, the Team sent out JB Hunt hats and hand written
thank you cards to the delivery locations as a thank you for their continued
support. Never before in the history of
Masterbrand has a carrier assisted them in this capacity!

In addition
to helping the sales team we also took the opportunity to audit deliveries. We
were able to first hand demonstrate to MasterBrand why our drivers were doing
so well and spend quality time with our guys.

Secondly, one
of the largest struggles we have worked through since start up is the poor
quality in which the trailers have been loaded. This has been a notorious
problem in the Ferdinand facility even to the point of other carriers refusing
to pull for this plant. Cursed with a high amount of damages and out of
sequence freight while loading, it is quick to see that the current process is
unsustainable. The local JB Hunt team as a result led the charge on doing a
blind trailer audit.

This audit
provided a lot of data of the current practices and has shined a light on
current root cause issues. This audit
was also the first time that a carrier had led the charge with MasterBrand in
this capacity!
Lastly, the
JB Hunt Team has been focused on creating a culture of mutual partnership and
respect. We have been marketing our name brand for months now and it has been
proven very successful. The MasterBrand employees within the corporate office
have embraced the partnership and are very excited about being on the same
Team.
