Terri Knight ICS coordinator, Ellwood City Forge, took her son(Eric) to game 5 last night in Pittsburgh hoping to see the Penguins clinch the Stanley Cup.
Consol Energy Center(Home to the Pittsburgh Penguins), had their 431st consecutive sellout on hand. Crowd totaled 18,680 people inside and there were an estimated 20,000 people outside watching the game on two big screens hoping to celebrate Pittsburgh's fourth Stanley Cup championship in downtown Pittsburgh which hasn't experienced a championship clinching home win in 56 years! The city and metropolis were buzzing like a hornets nest with people.
While the Penguins lost, Terri had a great time with her son and they both enjoyed a once in a lifetime experience. In addition, Jeremy Roenick came up to her son to talk to him (pictured below) prior to the start of the game. Pretty awesome stuff!
Still two games left for the Penguins to try and secure its fourth championship in hockey.
